How to Order a Certified Translation

Ordering a certified translation takes 4 steps. No originals needed, and you get the price and turnaround before any work begins.

What to send

  • A scan or a photo of the document. Make sure the text, seals, and handwritten notes are legible.
  • How your first and last name are spelled in Latin letters, as in your international passport or in documents you have already filed.
  • Where the document is going: USCIS, a court, a university, and so on. The formatting depends on it.

What you get

An electronic copy of the translation with the translator's certification, emailed to you the day it's ready. That's enough for most filings.

The paper copy can be picked up at our office at 5301 Madison Ave, Ste 203, Sacramento, or mailed to you.

How to pay

Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, check, or money order with no fee. PayPal or a credit or debit card adds a 4% processing fee.

We send the invoice once the price is agreed, before work starts.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need the original document?
No. We work from a scan or a photo as long as the text is easy to read. We need the original only if the document has to get an apostille before it's translated.
How long does a translation take?
Most orders take 1-3 business days. One or two short documents are usually done sooner. If you're up against a deadline, tell us right away. We'll check our workload and give you a straight answer on whether we can make it.
Does the translation need to be notarized?
Not for USCIS or immigration court. Both require a complete, accurate translation and a certification in which the translator states that the translation is accurate and that they are competent to translate the language. Neither calls for a notary. If an organization asks for notarization on top of that, we can have the translator's signature on the certification notarized.
Which languages do you translate from?
Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian (Moldovan), Belarusian, Armenian, Spanish, Turkish, and Azerbaijani. If you need another language, ask: we also have translators for languages outside this list. Our listed prices are for translations from Russian and Ukrainian. For other languages, we quote a price once we've seen the document.
