Terminology and names

Court and agency names are rendered the same way across the whole package. Names of people are checked against the passport and the papers already filed.

If your document isn't in Russian or Ukrainian

The price on this page is for translations from Russian or Ukrainian into English. We also translate from other languages, most often Romanian (Moldovan), Belarusian, Armenian, Spanish, Turkish, and Azerbaijani, but we quote those separately: send us a scan, and we'll give you the price before we start.

Frequently asked questions

How do you count pages?
By the pages of the original, from $25 per page, with a standard translation page of 1,800 characters. For a package of documents, we prepare an estimate in advance so the total doesn't come as a surprise.
Does the translation need to be notarized?
Not for USCIS or immigration court. Both require a complete, accurate translation and a certification in which the translator states that the translation is accurate and that they are competent to translate the language. Neither calls for a notary. If an organization asks for notarization on top of that, we can have the translator's signature on the certification notarized.
How long does it take?
A legal document translation usually takes 1-3 business days. If you're up against a deadline, tell us right away. We'll check our workload and give you a straight answer on whether we can make it.
