Shipping Liability: Who Is Responsible for What
Our part ends when the courier accepts the shipment. Here's what that means for you and what to do if a shipment is delayed.
Our part
We pack the shipment properly, fill out the shipping details, and hand it to the courier on the agreed day. That's where our part of the work ends.
The carrier's part
Once the shipment is with the courier, the courier is responsible for its safety, timing, and delivery. We have no say in how the courier works, and customs procedures and flight schedules are outside our control too.
This is the standard arrangement for any shipment sent through an intermediary, and we say so up front so there are no false expectations.
If a shipment is delayed
- Write to us and include the tracking number.
- We'll help you put together an inquiry to the carrier based on the tracking number.
- We'll do what's on our end, including giving you the shipping documents and proof that the courier accepted the shipment.
What lowers the risk
- An exact address with postal code and a working phone number for the recipient.
- Shipping early instead of on the last day before a deadline.
