Marriage Certificate Apostille in California
Apostille for a marriage certificate issued in California. $120 per document with the state fee included, ready in 1-3 business days.
When you need it
An apostilled marriage certificate is typically requested to register your marriage in another country, change your last name on documents back home, apply for a residence permit for your spouse, handle transactions involving jointly owned property, or settle an inheritance.
Which certificate qualifies
You need a certified copy issued by the county clerk or county recorder, or by the California Department of Public Health. The keepsake certificate you receive at the ceremony isn't a certified copy and can't be apostilled.
Not sure which copy you have? Send us a scan, and we'll check before we start.
Price and turnaround
$120 per document, state fee included. Turnaround is 1-3 business days. We can also translate the certificate if you need it. Translations from English are quoted separately because document formats vary.
